In addition to the normal game is the Time Trial mode.  Within that there are two play styles from which to choose.

The first style is to see how far you can get in 2 minutes.  Starting from the first stage, advance through the game as far as you can within the time limit.

The second style drops you straight into the raging battle of the final stage.

Players who can survive for two minutes will be able to advance through the stages in reverse order.

This is the Super 2 Minutes Time Trial mode

Blocking enemy attacks is an important role of your ninja stars.

When defending yourself, if you touch an incoming enemy attack, a ninja star will be placed in that spot and repel the attack.

However, if you then hit a placed ninja star with a new ninja star, they will spin with tremendous force and become a many times more powerful.
